Applications open for Ted Rogers Entrance Scholarships for first-year post-secondary students

Rogers announced Wednesday applications are now open for Ted Rogers Entrance Scholarships, one-time $2,000 scholarships available to 500 eligible youth across Canada starting their first year of university, college or trade school this fall.

To be eligible, students must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident age 25 or younger, be starting their first degree or diploma program in September 2024, and have a minimum cumulative average of 70 per cent or equivalent over the last three terms of available marks. The student’s program must be a minimum of two years in duration for university or college and one year for trade school.

The application portal will close June 12 at 1 p.m. EDT or once 800 applications have been received. Preference may be given to equity-deserving students. Successful applicants will be notified in July. More information is available here.

Rogers’s scholarship program provides three funding streams to support the varied needs of students. In addition to Ted Rogers Entrance Scholarships, the program annually awards Ted Rogers Future Leader Scholarships valued at $26,800 over four years to 100 students attending one of six partner universities, and Ted Rogers Legacy Scholarships valued at $100,000 over four years to 10 students attending a technology-focused program at a partner university.
