Bell Media announced Wednesday CTV Life Channel’s plant-based food show Evolving Vegan is returning for a six-episode second season starting April 16 at 8 p.m. ET.
The series is hosted and executive produced by Mena Massoud (Aladdin), who was recently nominated for Best Host, Lifestyle for the show’s first season at the 2024 Canadian Screen Awards.
From Bell Media Studios and Press Play Productions, season two of Evolving Vegan follows Massoud as he “takes viewers to new dynamic destinations, exploring diverse approaches to vegan cuisine in each locale, illustrating how talented chefs and restaurateurs are making plant-based food delicious and accessible,” reads a press release.
Over the six, all-new hour-long episodes, Massoud explores the plant-based food scenes of Philadelphia, Montreal, Miami, Las Vegas, New Orleans and Tokyo. Guests and experts featured in season two include magician and actor Penn Jillette, comedian Maz Jobrani, educator and food historian Zella Palmer, and New York Times best-selling cookbook authors Carleigh Bodrug and Radhi Devlukia.
For Bell Media Studios, Jennifer Couke and Michelle Crespi are executive producers of the series. Eva Filomena is series producer. Massoud and Ali Mashayekhi are executive producers for Press Play Productions.
Beginning April 16, Evolving Vegan will air Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on CTV Life Channel, CTV.ca and the CTV app, and will be available to stream on Crave.
