Bell Media’s Crave to launch on Prime Video Channels in Canada


Bell Media announced Tuesday it has signed an agreement with Amazon to bring its streaming service Crave to Prime Video Channels in Canada.

Set to launch soon, Crave’s Premium ad-free plan will be offered directly to Amazon members through their Prime Video account.

“We’re thrilled to be joining with Amazon to expand the reach of Crave,” Sean Cohan, president of Bell Media, said in a press release. “Making Crave available to as many Canadians as possible, on the service and device of their choosing, is a top priority for Bell Media.”

With the addition of Prime Video Channels, Crave subscribers have more choice and easier access to programming on a variety of platforms, including Crave.ca and digital media players including Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, select LG Smart TVs, select Samsung Smart TVs, PlayStation, Roku and Xbox One, the release says.

Crave’s programming includes HBO and Max Originals such as True Detective: Night Country and The White Lotus, iconic library series such as Friends and The Office, a growing slate of award-winning Crave Originals such as Canada’s Drag RaceShoresy and Little Bird, and more than 11,000 hours of French content.

New programming coming soon to Crave includes: season two of HBO’s House of the Dragon (summer 2024); HBO’s six-episode limited series The Regime (premiering March 3), starring Kate Winslet; Crave Original comedy series The Trades (spring 2024), from the producers of Trailer Park Boys; and new French series In Memoriam (spring 2024).
