TORONTO – Sports-first live TV streaming platform FuboTV announced Monday it has partnered with soccer-focused media company Men in Blazers to bring new and previously aired episodes of The Men in Blazers Show to Fubo Canada subscribers, starting Aug. 21 at 2 p.m. ET.
The episodes will air on Fubo’s linear channel Fubo Sports, a press release explains. This marks the first time The Men in Blazers Show has aired on TV in Canada, according to the release, which says each year of this multi-year agreement will bring 10 new episodes of the show to Fubo Sports.
“Hosted by Roger Bennett and Michael Davies, Men in Blazers covers soccer year-round focusing on the English Premier League, Champions League, the US National Teams and other top leagues around the globe. What The Hollywood Reporter calls ‘Hollywood’s Favorite Soccer Podcast,’ Men in Blazers engages with teams, players and celebrity fans and offer unique content that covers the biggest news in soccer,” the release reads.
This season’s guests on the show include Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino, Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson, Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou, Manchester City and Belgium midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, and AFC Bournemouth owner and chairman Bill Foley.
“Fubo will also stream episodes of The Men in Blazers Show from previous seasons featuring special guests Matthew McConaughey, Will Ferrell, Mark Cuban, John Oliver and athletes JJ Watt and Erling Haaland. This will be the first time these episodes air in Canada,” the release says.
“In addition to the exclusive episodes, Men in Blazers will create social content for Fubo highlighting key match-ups and the hottest story lines from around the English Premier League,” the release adds.
“Men in Blazers is a stellar addition to Fubo’s already robust offering for fans of the beautiful game, especially as we begin our second exclusive season of English Premier League coverage in Canada,” said Ben Grad, senior vice-president of strategic partnerships and operations at Fubo, in the release. “The Gents take such an authentic and meaningful approach to soccer coverage, drawing in fans who want to hear their takes on what is happening in the sport. We’re thrilled they will bring new episodes of their popular The Men in Blazers Show to TV for the first time in Canada exclusively for local Fubo subscribers.”
“As long-time admirers of the growth of football in Canada — on both the men’s and the women’s side, we are delighted and honored to reach the passionate and knowledgeable soccer fans North of the Border,” said Men in Blazers co-founder and host Roger Bennett. “Thanks to our partners at Fubo, we’ll have the opportunity to engage with millions of fans who are just like us — they love watching football, revelling in the memories the game can provide, and not taking a second of the experience for granted.”
Fubo subscribers can stream programming from their mobile device, connected TV or web browser. The Fubo app is available on Amazon Fire TV, Android, Google TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, Hisense, iOS, LG TV, Roku and Xbox One.
