TORONTO – The Canada Media Fund (CMF) on Tuesday announced a new MADE | NOUS initiative that calls on established Canadian digital content creators to join its ongoing campaign to celebrate and promote the creative work of Canadians in the film, television, video game and digital entertainment industries.
“This initiative is about uniting ‘horizontal’ and ‘vertical’ creators, so to speak,” Mathieu Chantelois, executive vice-president of marketing and public affairs at the CMF, said in a press release. “We want to bridge the gap between TV and film viewers and fans of online content. We want people who are not watching the larger screens to discover that there is a rich Canadian entertainment industry that they can enjoy and support — and they can be part of it.”
MADE | NOUS is looking for candidates proficient in English and/or French, who have an established community on social media platforms and expertise in creating content for Instagram, TikTok and/or YouTube.
Additionally, applicants should be able to appear on camera and engage with people at live events, if required, and be “Absolutely MADE for the red carpet!”, the release says.
“MADE | NOUS welcomes applicants from all backgrounds and abilities. Folks who are Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, or Métis), members of a racialized community, as well as 2SLGBTQ+ and disabled individuals are all encouraged to apply for this paid opportunity,” the release reads.
Canadian digital content creators interested in becoming a MADE | NOUS ambassador must apply before Sept. 15, 2023.
