Video Journalist

Pattison Media’s CFJC is looking to add a talented storyteller to our newsroom team as a Reporter/Video Journalist.

The ideal candidate will have a keen sense of curiosity and an ability to identify and develop stories. We are searching for an excellent writer who can produce and present their stories with creativity and professionalism. Strong social media skills would be an asset.

The winning candidate will have experience working as a video journalist in a television newsroom, but we recognize a great attitude and a passion for news can make up for lack of experience.

Our newsroom produces stories for television, radio, and online consumption. Based in Kamloops, our news team members work together to break stories for our audience in the interior of beautiful BC.

Candidates should have:

  • Outstanding writing skills.
  • Shooting and editing experience with Adobe Premiere.
  • The ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal communication.
  • Time management skills.
  • Broadcast Journalism Diploma.
  • A valid Driver’s License.

Kamloops is an ideal place to live and raise a family. The semi-arid climate offers mild winters and spectacular summers. It is family-friendly with an outstanding sports history and a vibrant arts community.
