TekSavvy launches FTTH service in Wallaceburg, Ont.

WALLACEBURG, Ont. — As part of its ongoing investment to bring affordable, high-speed fibre service across the municipality of Chatham-Kent, Ont., independent Internet service provider TekSavvy Solutions Inc. announced today the launch of its fibre-to-the-home service in the community of Wallaceburg.

TekSavvy Fibre Internet service is now available to 270 homes and businesses in the community, according to a press release. The company will continue to roll out fibre service in Wallaceburg during the next few months, with completion scheduled for early summer 2022, the release says.

The high-speed fibre network TekSavvy has built is capable of delivering Internet speeds up to 1 Gbps, the company said.

“Wallaceburg’s importance as the second-largest community in Chatham-Kent means its industry and business sectors and its residents require a reliable high-speed fibre-optic network to help the community continue to grow,” said Mayor Darrin Canniff.

TekSavvy is currently offering a promotion where residential customers who choose to sign up for TekSavvy’s Fibre 1000 Unlimited package for a 24-month term commitment will receive a $20 monthly bill credit for their first 12 months of service.

TekSavvy announced yesterday it has completed construction of its high-speed FTTH network in Thamesville, another community located in Chatham-Kent, Ont.
