THIS HOLIDAY BREAK has been truly well earned by everyone.
With the latest pandemic news and restrictions, I know this is not the holiday season anyone was hoping for, but I still hope you all have a chance to rest, spend quality time with your families (while following public health guidelines, of course) and enjoy some holiday cheer.
I also hope you have a chance to reflect on the past year and celebrate everything you all have accomplished. Since I started here at Cartt.ca in July, it has been inspiring to see everything the cable, radio, television and telecom industries have been able to do during year two of a global pandemic.
It has been amazing to see how hard you all have worked to make sure Canadians can stay connected to loved ones, can work or go to school from home and have access to the information they need to stay safe and the entertainment they need to stay sane when they cannot leave their homes.
And even with everything pandemic-related going on, you all still showed up for important causes, helped fundraise for those who need it and quickly stepped up when disasters like the wildfires and floods in B.C. struck. Like I said, you have all been inspiring.
I also want to take a moment to thank everyone for being so welcoming to me when I took on the role of editor/chief reporter of Cartt.ca in July. Thank you to everyone who reached out to introduce themselves, took time to have a conversation with me and to everyone who said hi at the Canadian Telecom Summit (the only in-person event I have been able to attend so far.)
All of us over here at Cartt.ca wish you and your families a very happy holiday season and hope you enjoy any celebration you have this time of year, and we wish you all a Happy New Year.
We at Cartt.ca are taking some time off to rest and enjoy the holidays as well, so this will be the last newsletter of 2021. We will be back to work on Jan. 4 and our first newsletter in 2022 will go out on Jan. 6.
Take care everyone!
