Rogers expands Pro On-the-Go service to Barrie and London

BARRIE and LONDON Ont. — Rogers Communications announced today it has expanded its personalized mobile retail experience, Rogers Pro On-the-Go, to Barrie and London, Ont., starting today.

“The innovative Pro On-the-Go service offers personalized one-to-one support and phone delivery to Rogers wireless subscribers as soon as the same day, at no extra cost,” reads a Rogers press release announcing the service expansion to Barrie.

“From the shores of Lake Simcoe to the Lover’s Creek Ravine, customers within the Greater Barrie Area can have a Rogers Pro bring them the device they need at a scheduled time, date, and place that works best,” the release says.

As part of the service, the Rogers Pro “will hand-deliver the device and guide customers step by step on how to set it up, while also helping to transfer applications, contacts and photos, and set up email, all based on their personal preferences.”

Similarly in London, “from the top of Boler Mountain, to the halls of Western University campus, no matter where a customer lives in London,” a Rogers Pro will deliver the device and help to set it up at the customer’s preferred time and place, says a separate press release.

Rogers first launched its Pro On-the-Go service in March 2020 at the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. Its partner in providing the service is Enjoy, a mobile retail store based in Palo Alto, Calif. Enjoy has also created mobile retail store experiences for AT&T in the U.S. and BT and EE in the U.K. Enjoy works exclusively with Rogers in Canada.

Rogers Pro On-the-Go is also available to Rogers customers in the Greater Toronto Area, other parts of southwestern Ontario, Ottawa, Greater Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton. Rogers says it will expand the service to more Canadian markets this fall.
