
TORONTO — Bell Media’s TSN announced today its exclusive live coverage of all 64 games of the 2021 IIHF World Championship in Riga, Latvia, will run from May 21 to June 6.
The first games to be televised on TSN will be the Russia vs. Czech Republic and Germany vs. Italy matchups at 9 a.m. ET, followed by Team Canada’s opening game against host country Latvia at 1 p.m. ET. TSN’s full broadcast schedule for the tournament is available here. The rosters are populated by many pro players whose teams did not make the NHL playoffs.
Broadcasting in accordance with local government Covid-19 protocols, play-by-play commentator Gord Miller and analyst Mike Johnson will deliver the call live from Riga for all games in Group B, which includes Team Canada, and the medal round games. TSN’s Dennis Beyak and analyst Dave Tomlinson will bring viewers the call for all games in Group A.
Reporters Lindsay Hamilton and Claire Hanna will also be on-site serving as host reporters, providing updates and player interviews throughout the tournament.
In the TSN studio, Rod Black will share hosting duties with Laura Diakun, alongside analysts Dave Reid and former Ottawa Senators defenceman Marc Methot, who makes his TSN debut. Ray Ferraro will join remotely for select games, including all Canada and USA games.
TSN.ca will provide breaking news, scores, in-game highlights and video analysis throughout the tournament. TSN’s official social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, will share photos and videos, while BarDown.com rounds up all the best social reactions and viral moments.
