
VANCOUVER — Telus today announced the launch of its new Telus Esports Series powered by Northern Arena, offering more than $50,000 worth of gaming and wellness prizes to Canadian gamers age 15 and up.
The six-week, multi-tiered esports series will feature the game Rocket League, a free-to-play, family friendly sports-based video game. Players of all skill levels can take part by joining one of two divisions for casual or competitive players.
Telus is working with Northern Arena, a Mississauga, Ont.-based premier esports and video game content producer, to bring this gaming league tournament to Canadians – and remind gamers PureFibre is a great choice for live game performance.
The tournament will take place virtually from June 12 to July 23, and viewers will be able to watch the tournament finals which will stream on Super Channel’s GINX Esports TV Canada channel on July 31 and August 1.
In addition to Northern Arena and GINX Esports TV Canada, Telus is partnering with Adamas Esports, Best Buy Canada and Turtle Beach, who are providing prizes for the tournament.
