WASHINGTON, D.C. — Blue Ant Media’s wildlife brand Love Nature today announced its latest original series, Otter Dynasty, a six-part series which will examine the urban wildlife story of three otter families in Singapore.
“The project follows this resilient species, which were once declared locally extinct from Singapore in the 1970s and now have made the ultimate comeback with 120 otters now vying for survival in the city’s Marina Bay,” reads Blue Ant Media’s press release.
Produced by Singapore-based Beach House Pictures, a Blue Ant Studios company, in association with Love Nature and Animal Planet, the series is scheduled to premiere on Love Nature’s linear and streaming platforms globally (outside of the U.S.) in November 2022. Blue Ant International is overseeing licensing in markets outside of the U.S.
“Otter Dynasty is special because it combines true natural history filmmaking with dramatic story-telling complete with a distinct cast of animal characters bringing tales of battle, romance and survival that will leave audiences in hot anticipation for each episode,” said Carlyn Staudt, global general manager of Love Nature, in a press release. “Beach House Pictures was able to create a universally compelling story about these resilient animals in Singapore, while also lifting a curtain on their real animal emotions and relationships.”
