Latest UBF-supported project to help rural New Brunswick

OTTAWA — The newest broadband project funded through the rapid response stream of the federal government’s $1.75-billion Universal Broadband Fund (UBF) will deliver high-speed Internet to residents on Grand Manan Island in New Brunswick, it was announced last week by Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada. Through the UBF, the federal government is providing $686,000 in total funding to the project, which will connect 346 underserved households to high-speed Internet.
