Noovo to adapt Fox’s I Can See Your Voice for Quebec

MONTREAL – Bell Media’s Noovo has purchased the rights to Fox’s music game show I Can See Your Voice for the Quebec market and will debut the series in French this fall.

“Combining songs, suspense and dazzling performances, this one-of-a-kind variety show is an emotional rollercoaster. The goal is to identify the real singer and the imposters among a group six participants,” reads the press release.

“Each week, contestants must identify the real voices hiding behind six ‘secret singers,’ using their own intuition along with help from a panel of four celebrities. The singers are people from all walks of life: football players, golfers, lawyers, ballet dancers, chefs, firefighters, police officers, etc.

“Over multiple rounds, contestants eliminate those they suspect are not good singers. Every time they successfully eliminate a bad singer, they win more money. At the end of the show, contestants must decide whether to keep their winnings or bet everything. If the remaining participant from the group of six is a good singer, that week’s contestant wins the jackpot. If not, he or she leaves with nothing,” explains the release.

Productions ToRoS are producing the new show format in collaboration with Bell Media.

I Can See Your Voice is based on a South Korean format from CJ ENM and is distributed by Incendo in Canada. The format has been adapted in 16 additional markets around the world and the series debut last fall was the United States’ highest-rated unscripted fall debut in nearly three years, says the Noovo release.
