2021 Jays games to be simulcast on radio/TV

TORONTO – With Major League Baseball’s spring training under way, Sportsnet announced today it will air a minimum of 10 Toronto Blue Jays Spring Training games – and that this season’s regular season games will be simulcast on TV and radio with one crew.

The games will also be available on SN Now. Spring training action gets underway with Blue Jays vs. Yankees this Sunday, Feb. 28 at 1 p.m. ET / 10 a.m. PT.

The broadcaster also said in its announcement today “In an effort to minimize travel and closely adhere to team, league, and government protocols related to the pandemic, Sportsnet will be streamlining production for the 2021 season by simulcasting TV broadcasts on Sportsnet 590 The FAN and across the Sportsnet Radio Network,” reads the release.

“Blue Jays fans can now enjoy the legendary voices of Buck Martinez, Dan Shulman, and Pat Tabler on both TV and radio. Ben Wagner remains part of the Blue Jays on Sportsnet broadcast team, joining Jamie Campbell, Joe Siddall, Hazel Mae, and Arash Madani in covering all the bases throughout the season.”

MLB Opening Day is on April 1 against those same Yankees.
