Peacock Alley expands creative leadership team

TORONTO — Production company Peacock Alley Entertainment today announced several creative leadership appointments within the company.

This follows last week’s announcement that producer Mary Anne Waterhouse has been hired as Peacock Alley’s new executive vice-president of content production.

The appointments announced today include Diana Foley (above, left) taking on the role of director of nonfiction development and production, and Eli Campbell (right) being hired as director of scripted development. In addition, Michael Brum is joining Peacock Alley as director of post production.

In their newly created roles, Foley and Campbell will oversee content development, from concept to series, and all aspects of production for new and returning programming. Foley will focus on the company’s factual slate, including an upcoming true-crime documentary for Oxygen Network, while Campbell will drive Peacock Alley’s scripted comedy and drama portfolio. Brum is responsible for the post-production process.

“Our new team has both the production experience and the creative instincts necessary to develop ground-breaking content and to help our writers and creative partners succeed in an increasingly competitive global market. I can’t wait to see what we accomplish together,” said company president Carrie Mudd.

Foley has previously held numerous project-specific positions with the company, story producing and story editing several of Peacock Alley’s factual titles such as A User’s Guide to Cheating Death (Zoomer/Netflix), 50 Ways to Kill Your Mum/The Parent Trip (Zoomer/BYUtv), Taste Testers (Food Network US) and Tower of Song: A Memorial Tribute to Leonard Cohen (CBC). She has also contributed to scriptwriting for season two of Jensplaining (CBC). Her previous credits include coordinating roles on Food Network’s Chopped Canada, HGTV’s Income Property, and OLN’s Storage Wars Canada.

Campbell joins the company from Hawkeye Pictures, where he helped develop multiple features and series, including the international co-production Propaganda: The Art of Selling Lies. Prior to that, while at Blue Ice Pictures, Campbell was involved in the development of the multi-award-winning six-part series, The Book of Negroes (CBC, BET), as well as Madiba (BET), and The Indian Detective (Bell Media/Netflix), and features including October Gale (Foundry Films, IFC) and Goalie (Dark Star Pictures, Mongrel Media).

With more than 10 years of experience, Brum has worked in various post-production positions for companies such as Entertainment One, Forté Entertainment and Banger Films.

Also announced today, Kellie Hogan has been hired as development and production coordinator, a role in which she will support Foley, Campbell and Brum, who all report to Mudd. Before joining the company, Hogan held various roles from supporting showrunners and writers to cast and production coordinating, with her credits including major productions such as The Next Step, Titans, American Gods and Schitt’s Creek.
