New leaders appointed to CBC/Radio-Canada sales team

MONTREAL – CBC and Radio-Canada Media Solutions announced Thursday the promotion of Patricia Châteauneuf (above) to the role of executive director, multi-platform media sales, Montreal and Eastern Canada and the hiring of Émilie L. Laguerre as the director of business-to-business marketing and communications.

Châteauneuf was most recently CBC/Radio-Canada’s director, national multi-platform sales and client innovation, a position she held for more than seven years. “With experience in building strategic alliances which have led to many successful consortiums with other media groups, Patricia was a natural choice to fill the role of the executive director following the retirement of industry veteran Reneault Poliquin, who will be retiring effective March 31st after more than eight years with CBC/Radio-Canada,” reads the press release.

Prior to CBC/Radio-Canada, Châteauneuf held leadership roles at TC Media and Astral.

“Patricia’s passion for the industry is evident in the numerous juries she has participated in, and her involvement in various causes and industry boards. She is also well-regarded by her peers and clients alike,” said Donald Lizotte, general manager and chief revenue officer, CBC & Radio-Canada Media Solutions. “I have had the privilege of working with Patricia over the past year, and I am so pleased to see her take over the reins from Reneault Poliquin when he retires. I would also like to thank Reneault for his contributions to the team and wish him the best in his retirement.”

Laguerre (right) brings 10 years of experience in marketing and more than six years in management in her new role. Most recently, she held the position of director, communications and partnerships at Renaud-Bray, a major Quebec bookstore chain. “Émilie is a strong leader and a strategic thinker, and her vast experience will help our business-to-business team continue to grow our position as leaders in the Canadian media landscape,” said Lizotte.

Laguerre will begin her appointment on February 15th and Châteauneuf will taking on her new role April 1st.
