Apple unveils iPhone 12


TORONTO — Apple today unveiled four new smartphones in its iPhone 12 series, as well as its new HomePod mini smart speaker.

The new smartphone line includes the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini (pictured),and the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max. All four are touted as 5G phones and feature the Apple-designed A14 Bionic chip and Super Retina XDR displays protected by the all-new Ceramic Shield front cover.

Pre-orders for the 6.1-inch iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro models begin Friday, October 16, with availability beginning October 23. The 5.4-inch iPhone 12 mini and 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro Max will be available for pre-order beginning November 6, and in stores beginning November 13.

Pricing for iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini starts at $1,129 and $979, respectively. Pricing for the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max starts at $1,399 and $1,549, respectively.

At just 3.3 inches tall, the HomePod mini will be available in white and space grey for $129. Canadian customers can pre-order the HomePod mini starting November 6, with availability beginning the week of November 16.
