CFC announces Blocko! doc series featuring conversations with Black alumni

TORONTO — The Canadian Film Centre (CFC) announced today it will present a new weekly documentary series featuring personal conversations with Black CFC alumni on its YouTube channel, beginning Wednesday, October 14. The seven-part CFC BLOCKO! series is a call-to-action piece from acclaimed creator Charles Officer (Akilla’s Escape) and produced by Canesugar Filmworks. Premiering October 14 at 4 p.m. ET, the short documentary series will feature 10-minute conversations with six of CFC’s Black alumni as well as CFC founder and award-winning filmmaker Norman Jewison (In the Heat of the Night).
