With more than 20 years of wireless and wireline global telecommunications experience, Sweeting comes to Lindsay Broadband most recently from Boca Raton, Florida-based Airspan Networks where he held the position of vice-president of sales for Canada. His prior positions include Canadian national director of sales at Power & Telephone Supply, consultant at INO Consulting, account vice-president of strategic sales for Canada at Arris, customer team head for Canada at Nokia Siemens Networks, and director of sales at Huawei.

GPON stands for gigabit passive optical network, while XGS-PON is a 10-gigabit-capable symmetric PON technology. Lindsay’s GPON and XGS-PON solutions include optical line terminals (OLTs), optical network terminals (ONTs), a managed node system, and a wide array of optical and powering products for a full end-to-end video overlay/xPON solution, says the company’s press release.
