OUTtv teams up with Fuse and Vice on new transgender makeover series

VANCOUVER, LOS ANGELES and NEW YORK — OUTtv, the world’s first LGBTQ+ television network, announced today it is teaming up with Fuse Media and Vice Studios on a new series, Clothes Minded (working title).

The empowering makeover series (eight episodes x 30 minutes) helps individuals from the transgender and non-binary community find a new look to celebrate their true identity, says the press release. The global premiere of the series is scheduled for early 2021 on OUTtv and Fuse.

Hosted by gender non-conforming model and activist Richie Shazam and by musician, artist, activist and life coach Lucas Silveira (Canadian rock band The Cliks), the series will be filmed in locations across the U.S. and Canada (pictured above is a behind-the-scenes shot, courtesy OUTtv). Production on the series started earlier this month, with Covid-19 guidance and protocols being followed to ensure the safety of all crew and contributors, says the release.

“OUTtv is dedicated to reflecting the diversity of the LGBTQ+ community through our programming. Clothes Minded (w/t) embraces gender fluidity and celebrates individualism. We’re thrilled to be partnering with Fuse and Vice Studios to bring the message to a worldwide audience,” said Brad Danks, CEO of OUTtv, in the press release.

The series is being produced with the participation of the Telus Fund and the Bell Fund.
