Incendo filming two new movies for Rogers

MONTREAL — TVA Group’s Incendo production company announced Tuesday it has begun principal photography in Montreal on two more TV movies for Rogers which will air as part of Citytv’s Fall in Love Friday line-up.

The first film announced today is One of a Kind Love, starring Canadian actors Jocelyn Hudon (When Hope Calls, Ice), Jake Manley (The Order, A Dog’s Journey) and Daniela Sandiford (Small Crimes, Good Sam). Written by Barbara Kymlicka, the film is directed by Philippe Lupien (Nous sommes le Freak Show, Bernard le Grand, Amen).

In One of a Kind Love, Kyra (played by Hudon) dreams of being a jeweller but her plans have been put on the backburner, as her demanding job at the Sawyer Country Club is her priority. She sees an opportunity when a vacant shop becomes available in town, until she learns another renter is interested in the space. Enter Aiden Sawyer (Manley), prodigal son, big-city business magnate and Kyra’s childhood nemesis, returning home to his parents’ country club. As they start to patch up their past, Kyra enters a jewellery contest to raise enough money to outbid the mystery renter, and Aiden races against time to make everything right.

The second film starting production is Seasoned With Love, starring Canadian actors Julia Benson (Paranormal Solutions Inc., Cedar Cove), Peter Benson (An Aurora Teagarden Mystery, Holiday Date) and Tori Barban (A Husband’s Confession, Vivre sa Vie). The film is written by Gemma Holdway and directed by Claude Desrosiers (Les hauts et les bas de Sophie Paquin, Appelle-moi si tu meurs).

In Seasoned With Love, Winona Applegate (played by Julia Benson) is on the fast track to becoming a celebrity chef, already running a very successful bistro in Pittsburgh. On her way to New York to audition for her own show in front of television executives, her car breaks down in a small, quirky town where she rents a room at a local inn run by widower Adam (Peter Benson). With the local spring festival coming up and the resident cook unavailable to manage the inn’s menu, Winona agrees to have her car fixed in exchange for her help in the inn’s kitchen. As she prepares for the festival with Adam, she begins to fall in love with the small town and one of its residents.

Both films are being produced by Kaleigh Kavanagh, and executive producers are Jean Bureau and Ian Whitehead.
