Canadian Telecom Summit now all-virtual, pushed to November

TORONTO — The Canadian Telecom Summit will be a digital-only event this year and has been re-rescheduled for November 17-19, 2020.

Traditionally held in June, the in-person conference was postponed until September, due to Covid-19 and restrictions on public gatherings. However, in an email, organizers have announced a virtual Canadian Telecom Summit will now take place in November.

“Given the limitations on indoor gatherings proposed by governments across Canada, The Canadian Telecom Summit team has created a brand-new Virtual Event Platform. Safety is top priority for our partners, delegates, and staff, while maintaining connections, networking, and bringing the industry together,” reads the announcement.

“Through our Virtual Event Platform, we will be offering you the same high-octane panel discussions, thought provoking keynote presentations, exhibit floor showcase, and networking opportunities, you have come to expect from CTS.”

Cartt.ca’s editor and publisher Greg O’Brien will still be moderating the annual Regulatory Blockbuster session (November 18) featuring the top regulatory experts from Bell, Rogers, Cogeco, Iristel and TekSavvy — only in a virtual format.

Other confirmed panel discussions and keynote topics include:

  • Innovating the Customer Lifecycle
  • Cyber Security — Protection, Privacy and Identity
  • The 5G Eco-System — Enabling Value and Developing Revenue Streams
  • Disruptive Innovation — Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, Blockchain, Quantum Physics and more
  • Lessons Learned from Early SHAKEN Deployments, Challenges and Opportunities
  • Ethical in the Age of AI?
  • Where Next? 5G Opportunities and Innovative Applications

New registrants of CTS are being offered a 70% discount by using the “summer special” code VIRTUAL70.
