WARNER MEDIA ANNOUNCED today upcoming programming for HBO and HBO Max, including the socially distanced comedy Coastal Elites featuring Bette Midler and Canada’s Dan Levy, which will premiere on Crave on the same day as the U.S. broadcast debut in September, confirmed Bell Media.
From playwright and screenwriter Paul Rudnick and directed by Jay Roach, Coastal Elites is a comedic satire that tells contemporary stories of characters breaking down and breaking through as they grapple with politics, culture and the pandemic. Also starring Sarah Paulson, Kaitlyn Dever and Issa Rae, the show will premiere on Crave Saturday, September 12.
Beginning Thursday, August 13, the new HBO Max cooking show featuring Selena Gomez, Selena + Chef, will debut on Crave (same day as the U.S. premiere). The 10-episode unscripted series is executive produced by Gomez for July Moon Productions, and features the recording artist as she navigates unfamiliar territory: making delicious meals while stuck at home in quarantine. She gets some guidance remotely from world-renowned chefs including Angelo Sosa, Antonia Lofaso, Candice Kumai, Daniel Holzman, Jon & Vinny, Ludo Lefebvre, Nancy Silverton, Nyesha Arrington, Roy Choi and Tonya Holland.
Also announced by HBO Max is the Ridley Scott executive produced series Raised by Wolves, which centres on two androids tasked with raising human children on a mysterious virgin planet. Scott directed the first two episodes of the 10-episode series, marking his television series directorial debut for North American audiences.
Raised by Wolves will debut on HBO Max in the U.S. on September 3. The series will premiere on Crave and CTV Sci-Fi this fall (date still to be confirmed).
