MONTREAL — TVA Group’s Incendo production company announced Monday principal photography has started on You May Kiss the Bridesmaid, a TV movie being shot on location in Montreal.
Written by Vancouver-based screenwriter Nastasha Baron, the movie stars Canadian actress Tori Anderson (Killjoys, No Tomorrow) along with actors Kristopher Turner (A Little Bit Zombie, Stuck) and Julia Borsellino (Une femme d’exception, Nothing Has Changed). Director of the film is Caroline Labrèche (Rule of 3, Thicker Than Water).
Food influencer Scarlett Bailey (played by Anderson) is presented with the opportunity of a lifetime to work as a pastry chef in one of New York City’s top restaurants. Her life is put on hold when she returns to her hometown for the wedding of her sister Maddie (Borsellino). Learning her parents have sold the family home, a B&B, to her childhood flame Liam Perry (Turner) and that Maddie has lost her wedding venue days before the nuptials, Scarlett works with Liam to host the event at the B&B, while trying to put their history behind them. As her dream job in NYC becomes a firm offer, Scarlett is forced to make a decision, having fallen back in love with Liam and her childhood home.
You May Kiss the Bridesmaid is produced in association with Rogers Sports and Media’s Citytv and will air as part of Citytv’s Fall in Love Friday lineup. Kaleigh Kavanagh will produce the film, and executive producers are Jean Bureau and Ian Whitehead.
