SaskTel’s maxTV Stream reaches Milestone


MILESTONE, Sask. — Residents and businesses in the town of Milestone and nine more rural Saskatchewan communities now have access to SaskTel’s maxTV Stream and high-speed Internet services, SaskTel announced Wednesday.

SaskTel’s interNET Extended 25 and 50 packages and maxTV Stream are now available to the communities of Climax, Cypress Hills Park, Fort San, Frontier, Lang, Milestone, Neville, Piapot, Tompkins and Val Marie.

“We take an enormous amount of pride in being Saskatchewan’s homegrown communications leader and it’s this pride that continues to drive us to deliver advanced products and services to people across the province,” said Doug Burnett, SaskTel president and CEO, in the news release. “From communities with a handful of residents to our province’s major urban centres, we’re working hard to bring incredibly fast Internet speeds and the next-generation in entertainment services to as many Saskatchewan residents as possible.”

With this latest expansion, SaskTel now offers Internet packages with download speeds of up to 50 Mbps or faster in more than 320 communities province wide. Available in more than 370 communities, maxTV Stream combines traditional television with advanced technology and the latest OTT content from Netflix and YouTube. Among the advanced features offered with maxTV Stream are the abilities to restart live TV up to 72 hours in the past and to control the TV with Bluetooth and voice command technology.
