TORONTO and VANCOUVER — Wow! Unlimited Media’s Mainframe Studios division today announced the hiring of Tanya Green (pictured) for the newly created role of head of preschool.
Green is an Emmy- and Canadian Screen Award-winning producer with more than 15 years of animation production experience. She joins Mainframe Studios from Sinking Ship Entertainment, where she served as the company’s first-ever head of animation.
In her new role at Mainframe Studios, Green will oversee all new preschool content, including new intellectual property, co-productions and partnerships with creators globally to expand the studio’s preschool portfolio, says the news release.
Based in Toronto, Green will work closely with Mainframe’s Vancouver team as well as Gregory Little, Mainframe’s senior vice-president of content, who oversees the company’s content slate for non-preschool kids and family audiences.
“Bringing on Tanya as the head of preschool marks an exciting push in building Mainframe’s preschool slate as part of our overall expansion of original IP productions,” said Michael Hefferon, president and chief creative officer of Mainframe Studios. “Tanya’s unmatched experience, creative spirit, and collaborative nature with talent is key for the studio’s drive to produce extraordinary and innovative preschool content for kids.”
Before working at Sinking Ship, Tanya established her career with 9 Story’s Brown Bag Films, where as vice-president of production, she oversaw, managed, and produced hundreds of hours of Emmy award-winning animated television, including Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood and Peg + Cat, as well as Let’s Go Luna, Magic School Bus Rides Again and Wild Kratts.
