
MONTREAL — With Major League Baseball officially starting its 2020 season next week, Bell Media’s RDS, French broadcaster of MLB games in Canada, will kick off the season with a doubleheader broadcast on Thursday, July 23.
RDS will broadcast live the 7 p.m. ET match-up between the New York Yankees and the Washington Nationals (pictured is Yankees pitcher Gerrit Cole), which will be followed by a clash between the San Francisco Giants and the Los Angeles Dodgers at 10 p.m. ET.
On Friday, July 24, starting at 7 p.m. ET, RDS will air the duel between the Milwaukee Brewers and the Chicago Cubs. RDS’s coverage of the first week of MLB action will end Sunday, July 26, starting at 7 p.m. ET, with the Atlanta Braves visiting the New York Mets.
RDS’s Marc Griffin and Alain Usereau will describe and analyze all of the matches. In addition, on Monday, July 20 at 9:30 p.m. ET, the duo will give French baseball fans an overview of each of the MLB teams as part of the MLB 2020 program Un avant-goût.
Furthermore, Griffin and Usereau will offer a new episode of the Compte Complet (Full Account) podcast every Monday, during which they will comment on current events in major league baseball. The Compte Complet podcast is available on RDS.ca, as well as on most listening platforms including iHeartRadio, Apple Podcasts, Google Play Music and Spotify.
For the rest of the MLB regular season, RDS will broadcast a selection of games, mainly on Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays. At the end of the regular season, RDS will present an elimination game, two division series, a championship series and the World Series.
