Bell Media hires Radio-Canada’s Lucie Quenneville

MONTREAL — Bell Media announced Monday it has hired Lucie Quenneville (pictured) as the new general manager of programming and acquisition strategies for Bell Media in Quebec, effective July 20.

Reporting to Suzane Landry, Bell Media’s vice-president of French-language content development and programming, Quenneville will be responsible for programming and acquisition strategies for the V specialty channel and for Crave’s French-language programming.

The new appointment marks Quenneville’s return to the V network, where she worked for six years from 2006-2012, first as director general of development and acquisitions, and then vice-president of programming and acquisitions. From 2013-2016, she was Quebecor Media’s director of strategic watch and content research. She was also senior director of programming for Quebecor Media from 2002-2006.

Most recently, Quenneville was senior manager of youth content acquisitions and content monitoring at CBC/Radio-Canada, where she contributed to the increase and retention of viewers and established its first Strategic Content Intelligence unit, says the news release.

“Highly respected in the television community, we welcome Lucie’s industry expertise,” said Landry, in the news release. “Her extensive experience will be a tremendous asset for Bell Media, as we continue to bolster our French-language content teams to bring Québecers content that stands out on all our platforms.”
