Videotron warns about phishing scams

MONTREAL — Videotron is warning its customers and the public in general about an increase in phishing attempts related to Covid-19 in recent weeks. “Unfortunately, fraudsters are trying to take advantage of the current situation to gain access to Quebecers’ personal information,” said Pierre Bonin, senior vice-president and chief information officer of Videotron, in the news release. “People need to be alert to phishing attempts and protect themselves.
