MISSISSAUGA and CALGARY — Canadian CommTech Show organizers announced Monday both the CommTech East and CommTech West shows are being postponed until the fall.
CommTech East 2020, originally scheduled for April 7-8, will be postponed until the tentative dates of November 24-25, 2020, the news release says. The tentative dates for CommTech West 2020 are October 6-7, 2020. CommTech West was originally scheduled for May 26-27.
According to an email sent to Cartt.ca, all exhibitor and attendee registrations will be honoured for the new show dates.
In a statement emailed to show exhibitors, sponsors and key contacts, CommTech’s organizers said the decision was made due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the Canadian government’s direction that events with more than 250 in attendance should be cancelled.
“We ask for your understanding at this time and will communicate additional information as it becomes available,” reads the email sent to exhibitors and sponsors, who are reminded to cancel transportation and accommodation bookings if applicable.
