OTTAWA – NBCUniversal’s upcoming streaming platform Peacock and Warner Max, a new joint venture between Warner Bros and HBO Max, have filed their trademarks in Canada.
Peacock, which is slated to see its first roll-out in the United States in April, will be a competitively-priced streaming platform that is yet to see an international release date. Warner Max, which was announced early last month, will be the film arm of the upcoming streaming service HBO Max, slated for a May release, and will produce eight to 10 movies a year for the service. Bell has already signed an exclusive deal with HBO Max for its Crave customers, however.
Both filed their trademarks last month, with Peacock filing for a number of different-looking logos.
