FLIN FLON, MB — Bell MTS announced Tuesday its all-fibre broadband network is being expanded in Flin Flon, bringing gigabit internet speeds and next-generation Fibe TV service to approximately 2,800 residences and businesses throughout the northern Manitoba city.
With direct connections to the Bell MTS fibre network beginning this summer, Flin Flon residents will have access to Bell MTS Gigabit Fibe Internet, Whole Home Wi-Fi and Fibe TV, says Bell’s news release.
Fully funded by Bell MTS, construction of the Flin Flon fibre project will start in March. Bell MTS has already deployed fibre to many other communities throughout Manitoba.
“We’re proud to add Flin Flon to the growing number of Manitoba communities connected to the most advanced broadband Internet and TV services available in Canada,” said Dan McKeen, vice-chair, Bell MTS and Western Canada, in the release. “Our commitment to invest a billion dollars in modernizing Manitoba’s communications infrastructure continues to contribute to new economic and social opportunities in northern Manitoba and other locations throughout the province.”
