“Mad About You” revival premieres January 7 on CTV Comedy Channel

TORONTO — With Paul Reiser and Helen Hunt reprising their roles as Paul and Jamie Buchman, the award-winning 90s sitcom Mad About You is returning to television as a new 12-episode, half-hour limited series.

The new series will premiere on CTV Comedy Channel on Tuesday, January 7 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Airing two back-to-back episodes each week, Mad About You reunites viewers with the Buchmans on the day daughter Mabel (Abby Quinn, Landline) is off to college.

Familiar faces joining Reiser and Hunt are John Pankow (Episodes) as Paul’s cousin Ira, Richard Kind (Young Sheldon) as friend Dr. Mark Devanow, Anne Ramsay (Hart of Dixie) as Jamie’s sister Lisa Stemple, and Jerry Adler (Transparent) as Mr. Wicker. New cast additions joining Quinn as Mabel Buchman are Kecia Lewis (The Passage) as Mark Devanow’s second wife.

Guest stars include legendary comedienne Carol Burnett (The Carol Burnett Show), reprising her Emmy-winning role as Jamie’s mother Theresa Stemple; Cynthia Harris (Law & Order), reprising her role as Paul’s mother Sylvia Buchman; renowned actress Cloris Leachman (The Mary Tyler Moore Show; Phyllis), as one of Jamie’s therapy patients; Jason Alexander (Seinfeld), playing himself; and Jean Smart (Watchmen) as an eccentric best-selling author, lifestyle guru and podcaster.

The new episodes of Mad About You are already showing in the U.S. on Spectrum Originals, available exclusively to Spectrum video subscribers on-demand.

All 164 episodes of the original Mad About You series are streaming now on CTV Throwback, according to the news release.
