NEW YORK – The rematch between Andy Ruiz, Jr. and Anthony Joshua will stream exclusively on DAZN in Canada on Saturday, December 7th, the streamer announced today.
Ruiz vs. Joshua II will take place at a brand-new, open-air stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Ruiz (33-1, 22 KOs) shocked boxing fans in June when he toppled then-undefeated heavyweight world champion Joshua (22-1, 21 KOs) at Madison Square Garden.
Joshua, 29, was scheduled to face Jarrell Miller on June 1 in his U.S. debut, but Miller failed multiple drug tests, so the lightly regarded Ruiz, 29 was brought in as a replacement one month before the fight, but he won and is the first heavyweight champion of Mexican descent. Joshua triggered an immediate rematch after the fight.
