TORONTO — Apple Music subscribers can now listen to their favourite tunes on Amazon’s full range of Echo devices using Alexa, Apple announced on Wednesday.
Subscribers with Echo devices will be able to ask Alexa to play their favourite songs, artists and albums, or any of the playlists made by Apple Music’s editors. Customers will also be able to ask Alexa to stream curated radio stations featuring popular genres such as Hip-Hop, decades such as the ’80s, and music from around the world, such as K-Pop.
In addition to Echo devices, customers can also use Alexa built-in devices, such as Sonos One and Sonos Beam, to listen to Apple Music via Alexa.
To start listening, customers will need to enable the Apple Music skill and link their account, either through the Skills Store in the Alexa app or on Amazon.ca.
