MONTREAL – Quebecor’s digital radio platform QUB Radio will debut a new innovation on Monday, August 19, where listeners will be able to customize their morning listening just like would a music playlist.
Starting at 6 a.m., host Benoit Dutrizac will offer users the opportunity to build their own show with a choice of current-events segments, interviews conducted by Félix Séguin, Caroline St-Hilaire, Mario Dumont, Rémi Nadeau, Anaïs Guertin-Lacroix and many more, and daily newscasts presented by Alexandre Dubé, says the Quebecor press release.
This new offering, called “Dutrizac sur mesure,” will be available on the homepage of the QUB radio app, which can be found on the Apple Store and Google Play. By clicking on the customization function, listeners will get to select and rank the segments they want to include in their playlist.
“It’s a unique way to consume audio content,” said Mathieu Turbide, Quebecor’s vice-president of digital content. “Listeners get to choose what they’re interested in, and in what in order they’d like to hear it, so they can then listen to it whenever they want.”
QUB Radio headliners include, besides the ones mentioned above, Benoit Dutrizac, Richard Martineau, Geneviève Pettersen, Jonathan Trudeau, Sophie Durocher and Antoine Robitaille, who are all returning to their respective programs. Also back is “Le Guide de l’auto” on Saturday mornings, and François-David Bernier with his weekend show “Avocats à la barre.” “We’re thrilled to welcome back these hosts, who have made our digital radio service such a success since its launch barely nine months ago,” said Jean-Nicolas Gagné, general manager, QUB radio, in the release.
Also new this fall is “Les Têtes enflées,” airing weekdays from 5 to 6 p.m. Vincent Dessureault hosts this humorous current events and entertainment quiz show.
