MONTREAL – Stingray’s arts and culture TV service Stingray Festival 4K is stocking a slate of new live concerts after inking a three year global licensing deal with music distribution company Northstar Media.
The shows will include concerts by artists such as Shawn Mendes, Imagine Dragons, Playboi Carti, Beth Hart and Rae Sremmurd, with the first titles airing in July.
Billed as the only arts and culture television channel dedicated to live performances in 4K UHD, Stingray Festival 4K also airs music festivals, theatre productions, circuses, DJ sets, as well as ballet and opera performances.
“We are thrilled to expand our live show catalog with Northstar Media and bring some of the world’s biggest artists in spectacular 4K to the screen,” said Stingray’s SVP marketing and communications Mathieu Péloquin, in the news release. “The near lifelike picture quality and crystal-clear sound will bring music lovers closer to the performance than they ever imagined possible.”
