Glass blowing competition series heats up Makeful’s freeview

TORONTO – An original new competition series featuring the art of glass blowing will headline Makeful’s free preview.

The Blue Ant Media-owned service said that Blown Away, hosted by YouTube star Nick Uhas, will premiere on Wednesday, February 20 at 9:00 PM ET/PT and follow ten extraordinary glass blowers as they compete to win a residency at the world-renowned Corning Museum of Glass in New York, and other prizes valued at over $60,000 USD.

“The event series Blown Away is the perfect anchor for Makeful’s national free preview,” said Canadian Media president Jamie Schouela, in the news release. “The level of creativity and artistry showcased in the competition series perfectly encapsulates the spirit of Makeful. We look forward to inspiring and entertaining Canadians from coast-to-coast.”

Other programming during the freeview will include the first season of Making It, the DIY competition series starring Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman on March 20 at 8:00 PM ET/PT, and season 2 of real estate series Love It Or List It Australia on March 19 at 9:00 PM ET/PT.

Makeful’s programming combines food, design, style and DIY series, featuring passionate personalities who share their ideas and inspire audiences to bring imagination into every aspect of their lives.
