TORONTO – Hollywood Suite has once again locked up the exclusive rights to this year’s EE British Academy Film Awards (BAFTAs) and the Film Independent Spirit Awards.
The BAFTAs, hosted again this year by actress, author and activist Joanna Lumley, will air on Sunday, February 10 at 6:00 PM ET on HS00. This London-based award show celebrates the best in film from the UK and around the world. This year, the BAFTAs are setting the stage for change in film by implementing new eligibility requirements in the categories for Outstanding British Film and Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director or Producer to increase inclusion and depiction of under-represented groups. Now in its 34th year, the 2019 Film Independent Spirit Awards will be hosted by Aubrey Plaza (Parks and Recreation). Live from Santa Monica on Oscar weekend, coverage begins at 5:00 PM ET on Saturday, February 23 on HS00. Click here for the full list of nominees.
