Vista Radio buys three western stations

LETHBRIDGE, Alta. – Vista Radio announced Monday it will purchase Clear Sky Radio, which owns and operates two stations in Lethbridge as well as another in Cranbrook, B.C.

The three stations will join 41 Vista already owns in B.C., Alberta, Ontario and the Northwest Territories.

The stations sold are 94.1 CJOC (classic hits) and 98.1 The Bridge (modern AC) in Lethbridge, Alberta, and Summit 107 (AC) in Cranbrook, British Columbia.

“We are thrilled to add these well-loved stations to our portfolio, and to continue to serve listeners and advertisers in these excellent markets,” said Geoff Poulton, president of Vista Radio, in the release. “Our fundamental belief is that local radio makes a difference, and we will apply that philosophy to maintain and enhance the programming for listeners in Lethbridge, Cranbrook and their surrounding regions.”

Financial terms were not disclosed and the transaction is scheduled to close on December 31st.
