TORONTO – Bell Media’s CP24 and CHUM 104.5 are counting down to Christmas with the 52nd annual CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish campaign, a city-wide toy drive and charity event helping to make children’s wishes come true this holiday season.
One of the largest distributors of toys to children in need in the Greater Toronto Area, the CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish provides financial assistance to hundreds of charitable organizations, social services agencies, churches, and community centres.
Viewers and listeners are encouraged to contribute from today until December 24 by dropping off a new, unwrapped toy or by making a financial donation at:
- Multiple RBC branches across the GTA
- Bell Media Studios (299 Queen St. W., Toronto), the headquarters of CP24 and CHUM 104.5
- The CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish Warehouse (1366 Blundell Rd., Mississauga)
- The iHeartRadio Jingle Ball (Scotiabank Arena on Sunday, December 2)
Financial donations can also be made online at TheWish.ca, or by texting WISH to 30333 to donate $10, with all funds distributed among participating registered agencies. Donations are channeled toward funding holiday experiences, such as dinner gatherings and celebrations, for children and families in need. All monetary donations of $20 or more are eligible for an income tax receipt.
“The CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish gets bigger and brighter every year, and we are delighted to continue this wonderful annual tradition,” said Dave Daigle, Bell Media’s VP of radio and local TV, in Monday’s news release. “This great cause is made possible by the kind support of generous Torontonians, who have come together for more than five decades to help local families in need.”
