SN Now+ offers exclusive content, including more NHL games

TORONTO – Rogers is offering new and exclusive content to its sports streaming service subscribers via a new premium tier called SN Now+.

Available for $27.99/month, SN Now+ promises everything already available in the original SN Now package plus over 500 “blackout-free” (a.k.a. out-of-market) NHL games and a number of Premier League matches, additional Bundesliga games, FA Cup matches and Premiership Rugby and Super League Rugby coverage.

The basic SN Now tier, now offered at the reduced price of $19.99/month, continues to provide a direct feed of content available on Sportsnet’s television channels – including regional channels Sportsnet Ontario, East, West and Pacific, Sportsnet One and Sportsnet 360, and their slate of in-market NHL games for the Toronto, Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver teams, as well as Toronto Raptors and Blue Jays matchups.  The service is still free for viewers with a linear subscription to Sportsnet.

“This is all about choice and responding to how new audiences want to consume their content,” said Bart Yabsley, Rogers Media’s SVP sports & entertainment partnerships and content distribution, in Thursday’s news release.  “The NHL is easily the most coveted content in Canada. When you combine our core content with the lifting of the NHL blackout restrictions and all of the other enhanced coverage, we believe SN NOW+ is far and away the best direct-to-consumer choice on the market for sports fans.”

SN Now and SN Now+ may be purchased at snnow.ca and are available for use through laptop and desktop web browsers and the Sportsnet App on iPhone, iPad, and Android mobile and tablet devices. SN Now and SN Now+ are also available on 4th generation Apple TV boxes, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Google Chromecast.
