EDMONTON – Super Channel is getting into the festive spirit early this year with a slate of holiday-themed movie premieres every weekend in November and December.
Heart & Home Christmas will include 25 new movie premieres, including 16 Canadian made features, starting November 9 at 8:00 PM ET with the classic White Christmas. That will be followed by a new movie premiere every Friday, Saturday and Sunday in November and every Thursday to Sunday in December.
The Canadian made Hallmark original movie Marrying Father Christmas is the first of 16 Canadian made holiday movies set to debut during Heart & Home’s festive line-up, which will culminate on December 25 with the When Calls the Heart Christmas special. In total, over 70% of all Heart & Home Christmas content is Canadian.
The programming event will be supported with the ‘Twelve Days of Christmas’ giveaway, an online promotion from December 7 – 18 offering viewers Christmas themed gifts and prize packs. In addition, Super Channel Heart & Home will be introducing its first annual Christmas Ornament, to be given away to viewers throughout the festive season.
“Super Channel Heart & Home will become the destination of choice for Canadian viewers when it comes to Christmas programming,” said Super Channel president and CEO Don McDonald, in the news release. “We have worked extensively with our distribution and production partners to build on our Heart & Home brand to bring viewers an unrivalled collection of heartwarming, family-friendly, Christmas themed movies as seen on Hallmark, UPtv, Lifetime and ION in the U.S. All of which will air commercial free and be available on Super Channel On Demand throughout the holiday season and beyond.”
The programming event will be supported on-air and online with a dedicated webpage, as well as across all Super Channel social media platforms.
