TORONTO – Trekkies will want to tune in to Space this Thursday to catch the launch of Star Trek: Short Treks, a four-part series of stand-alone short stories.
Running approximately 10-15 minutes, each short will feature new characters and familiar faces from Star Trek: Discovery and the expanding Star Trek universe. The first episode will debut Thursday, October 4 at 9:00 PM ET during Space’s national month-long free preview, with the subsequent installments set to air November 8, December 6, and January 3. Each short will be available to stream on CraveTV following its broadcast premiere, and all four installments will also be available on Bell Media’s short-form video app SnackableTV following their launch on Space and CraveTV.
Star Trek: Short Treks airs as a companion series to Star Trek: Discovery, the most-watched series in Canadian entertainment specialty history, which will return to Space and CraveTV in early 2019.
