CRTC continues to renew broadcast licences

OTTAWA – As the end of the broadcast year draws near, the CRTC has finalized a number of broadcast licence renewals.

– From Blue Ant Media, the licences for national, English-language discretionary services A.Side, BBC Earth, Cottage Life, HIFI, Love Nature, Makeful, T + E and Smithsonian Channel from September 1, 2018 to August 31, 2023;

– From Canal Évasion, for the French-language discretionary service Évasion from September 1, 2018 to August 31, 2023;

– From Ag-Com Productions, for the national, English-language discretionary service The Rural Channel from September 1, 2018 to August 31, 2023;

– From Channel Zero, for the national, English-language discretionary service Rewind (formerly Moviola) from September 1, 2018 to August, 31 2023;

– From Hollywood Suite, for the discretionary services Hollywood Suite 70s Movies, Hollywood Suite 80s Movies, Hollywood Suite 90s Movies and Hollywood Suite 2000s Movies from September 1, 2018 to August 31, 2023;

– Administrative renewals for broadcasting licences for various television stations, television service and video-on-demand service (including Télé-Québec, Rogers Media for SCN, Jim Pattison Broadcast Group Industries, Crossroads Television System and Access Communications Co-operative), from September 1, 2018 to December 31, 2018, subject to the same terms and conditions as those in effect under the current licences; and

Knowledge Network Corporation, for the English-language non-commercial educational discretionary service Knowledge Network and the English-language discretionary service BBC Kids from September 1, 2018 to August 31, 2023.
