MONTREAL – New low-cost prepaid wireless service Lucky Mobile is now available to residents of Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador, parent Bell said Monday.
Launched last December, the service offers prepaid plans starting at $20 for unlimited local talk with no long-term commitment. For those requiring texting and data, the $40 Zone plan includes unlimited Canada-wide calls, unlimited Canada-wide and international texts, and 2 GB of data at 3G speeds.
All Lucky Mobile plans include voicemail, unlimited nationwide and international incoming calls and texts, call display, call waiting and 3-way calling. The carrier said that it will begin offering customers a new app providing talk and text over Wi-Fi outside of their monthly plans starting later this year.
"Lucky Mobile is the top choice for Canadians across the country looking for low-cost, straightforward and predictable wireless service," said Bell Mobility president Blaik Kirby, in the news release. "Everything about Lucky Mobile is designed to enable customers to access exactly the services they need while always remaining in complete control of their budget."
