TORONTO – Corus-owned Global will serve up two new dramas, four fresh comedies, and one new family-friendly reality show alongside 20 returning series in its fall primetime lineup, the broadcaster said Monday.

The seven new series include FBI, a Dick Wolf-produced drama centring on the inner workings of the New York office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation; New Amsterdam, a heartfelt, character-driven medical drama based on New York City’s historic Bellevue Hospital; comedy The Neighborhood starring actor and comedian Cedric the Entertainer (Barber Shop) as an opinionated neighbour who is wary of his new neighbours; Happy Together, a comedy following a 30-something happily married couple who begin to reconnect with their younger, cooler selves when an exuberant young pop star unexpectedly moves in with them; family comedy I Feel Bad starring Sarayu Blue (No Tomorrow) as a mom, boss, friend, wife and daughter who is perfectly okay with being imperfect; Abby’s (midseason), an aspirational new comedy about the best bar in San Diego filmed outdoors in front of a live studio audience; and Dancing with the Stars: Juniors, which will see celebrity kids paired with professional junior ballroom dancers to perform choreographed routines, which will be judged by a panel of renowned ballroom experts.

Global also greenlit news seasons of Mary Kills People and Big Brother Canada, plus will have more 9-1-1, Bull, the NCIS Franchise, and S.W.A.T., among others.  Click here for the full release.

Corus also announced the return of Canadian series Vikings, Top Chef Canada, Sarah Off The Grid, and Holmes + Holmes, as well as the first season of franchise Iron Chef Canada plus season 7 of Top Chef Canada.  More on that, as well as its kids content, is available here.
