OTTAWA - The Standing Committee on Industry, Science and Technology will kick off the statutorily mandated review of the Copyright Act on April 17.In Phase I, the Committee said that it will hear from witnesses representing specific sectors of activity, including — but not limited to — music, radio, television and film.The Committee added that it will start with education followed by publishing, and encouraged Canadians wishing to submit briefs on these topics to do so as early as possible.
