VANCOUVER – Corus Entertainment let go personalities from at least four of its radio stations this week in a move that it says will “further grow audiences across multi-platforms”.

A report in The Province said that restructuring at Vancouver talk radio station 980 CKNW saw three veteran hosts depart, while a CBC report said that radio personalities at London stations AM 980 CFPL, Country 104 and FM 96 were dismissed.

Both reports quote a Corus spokesperson who said that the changes are “designed to maximize our content delivery”.

“We believe our new structure will help further grow audiences across multi-platforms and position our radio brands for the future", the spokesperson continued.
